Hi I am Travis Corpening, and I am about to
show you how to improve ball-handling skills
with tap drills. Here we are at beautiful
Callahan Beach, and first of all what I want
to show you is, you want to take the ball
and you want to put it in either hand. I am
going to put it in my right. Once you put
it in that one hand, you want to bounce it
back and forth, just as simple as that. Back
and forth, not using your arms, not throwing
it back and forth with your arms, but throwing
it out just using your wrists and your hands,
back and forth. Now, as you do that, you want
to raise it, begin to raise it higher, and
increase speed the better you get with it.
Now, as you do it, you increase speed and
raise it higher, until it is absolutely above
your head and you continue to go as fast as
you can, bouncing it back and forth, back
and forth, using just your fingertips. Now,
you do this probably until, I would say, until
you feel, you begin to feel a real burn here
in your shoulders here, and your forearms,
and your triceps. There you have it, increasing
ball-handling skills using tap drills, tip
drills.
