Hey, I'm Keri Glassman, here with some quick
and simple tips to help you feel just a little
bit better. You can plan to exercise every
day, just like you can plan to win the lottery
or to be elected president. Great goals, but
for some things the gap between wanting and
doing is vast. And, just may not be realistic
in your life at this very moment. And that’s
okay. Only 5 percent of Americans exercise
every single day, so don’t feel bad if you
can’t hit that mark. Sure, it’s great
if you’re among the elite, but the reality
of the situation is that most of us can't
find the time for daily workouts even if we
have that superior motivation. Expecting yourself
to suddenly become a workout warrior is setting
the bar just a little too high. And there’s
the potential chain reaction it can cause
when you miss your Monday workout, and you
feel like now the whole week is shot. What
is most important is to be consistent for
what you can do. Even if it’s possible for
you to exercise every day, why not aim for
three or four days per week and over-deliver,
rather than shoot for the stars and fall short?
Consider your schedule and level of commitment
when setting your exercise goals. Make your
goals challenging but achievable. Living up
to the challenge is a great feeling and will
keep you motivated to continue. So remember:
Very few people find the time and motivation
to work out every single day, so set your
exercise goals at a challenging but realistic
level, and when you consistently achieve these
goals, you’ll definitely feel a little bit
better.
