[Intro Music]
You must think of the planet Earth as your own body.
Visualize: With a one-degree temperature rise in your body,
you'll already have the beginnings of the flu. If it goes up by four or five degrees,
you'll probably have a serious case of pneumonia or some other rather major ailment.
A few more degrees and your brain will stop functioning.
Towards the end of the century you can see that there is a very, very serious case of temperature
warming, and that is equivalent to pneumonia in your body.
One would see a spread of disease vectors in areas where they have never been before,
and that is a direct impact on human health.
There's also the food -- temperature [of] water will impact the food supply system,
so there is an expectation that a lot of people will be stressed for food resources.
