My name is Julie Barbee, my clothing line
is Frocky JackMorgan, on behalf of Expert
Village, this is a tutorial on recycling and
de constructing old clothes. Another principle
of deconstruction is dying fabric and there
are a lot of different products in the market,
you can just kinda explore on the internet
or even just in your grocery store there are
different kind of fabric dyes and I mix a
lot of them to acquire new colors and you
can either in a bin or you can dye in your
washing machine, which I don't really recommend
cause it can get a little bit messy but it?s
a great way to cover stains, a great way to
acquire a new color, if you're not happy with
the garment, the color let it is. So this
is a good example of something that might
have started out pink and I dyed it and even
though lace can dye a different color on the
fabric, it?s a good thing to just study the
color well, just to learn how different colors
are gonna interact with one another, to learn
if a red is gonna turn brown if you add pink
green to it, things like that. It just helps
to know color well, and learning how to mix
it and dye clothes.
